Trapped Key Spring Handle Tongue Interlock with Dual Key
The M-HT-D Trapped Key Interlock operates by using a spring loaded handle lock mechanism, which is locked when the first key is removed. Inserting and turning the appropriate key allows the secondary key to be released, unlocking the handle and allowing access to the hazardous area. The second key (often referred to as the personnel key) should be taken inside the hazardous area to reduce the likelihood of an inadvertent start-up. The M-HT-D interlock features IDEM’s anti-tamper cam system for long term proven reliability.

Key sold separately
Please note that for trapped key access locks, either a key or an actuator must be ordered with the product. This is required for manufacturing, as the internal mechanism must be configured to trap one of these parts. For assistance, please contact the IDEM Sales team.
